From the wonderland of North East - Mizoram


North East region of India consists of the seven states- Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Manipur, Mizoram, Nagaland, and Tripura- famous by the name of 'seven sisters', however, Sikkim also is part of North Eastern states. Along with the scenic beauty of North Eastern India, its traditional ethnic wears, jeweleries, ethnic food and decor represents the true & vibrant spirit of India. The vibrant and bright traditional clothing of the people of North East India, in fact, gives an identity to the Asian fashion worldwide. Here you would be able to find brief account of traditional costumes, food, decor & ethnic jewellery of each of the seven states of north east India.

This is an Endeavor to showcase and promote best of diverse ethnic culinary arts, innovative craftsmanship and rich cultural heritage of the north-eastern region of India to people of the rest of the country as well as to sensitize globally.

The Blog’s primary objective is to create a single platform for projecting and promoting the rare and indigenous crafts made out of bamboo & cane, artifacts’, exquisite silks, hand-woven & hand-spun fabrics with intricate & contemporary designs with tribal motifs, hand-crafted mementos and jeweleries of all kinds, shapes and sizes, a spectacular range of cane and bamboo works, by the inimitably creative and gifted artisans of the region will titivate this blog from the eight states of the region.
